Wildflower Update

If you have not been to Albion Basin this summer, now is the time to go.  Flowers are abundant and the slopes have a lush coverage of vegetation.  The rain over the weekend no doubt has added to the colorful floral arrangements found in both Big and Little Cottonwood Canyons.  Recently elephant head pink flowers were seen in a marshy meadow along the hike to Catherine’s Pass.

A cluster of purple asters were along the trail headed back up to the pass and white columbine seemed to be everywhere.  Magenta-colored Indian Paintbrush were prominent along the Grizzly Gulch Trail.

Bring your camera, sturdy shoes and a picnic and come enjoy the show!
