Alta Lodge is only 32 miles from the Salt Lake City International Airport, about 45 to 60 minutes via airport shuttle. Shuttle service is also available from the Salt Lake City Amtrak station.
If you drive to Alta in winter, please note that vehicles must be equipped with snow tires from November through May. Four-wheel drive is recommended. During winter, the road to Alta will at times be restricted to vehicles with four-wheel drive or tire chains. Parking is in public, uncovered areas, and parking regulations are strictly enforced. At check in, please ask the Front Desk staff for parking instructions.
