Last week’s spring skiing conditions were great on a 84″ base.Warm weather and blue sky were in abundance all week long until Sunday. Here’s a look at what skiing looked like last week.
On Monday morning, we had a special: 11″ of powder in 24 hours
We had a weather change with a front bringing in lots of wind and snow and on Monday, skiers experienced one of those fantastic spring powder days: bluebird day with fresh snow! It seemed as if though everyone was here that day…must have been “sick” day, mental health day, vision problems (I can’t see coming into work today..) unplanned vacation day and all sorts of reasons to skip work and come skiing! Wednesday was another morning with some fresh pow–4″ and today is perfect day for groomers!
Next week the weather will shift to bring in a change of starting with a precursor “chance of snow” on Saturday and some lower temperatures (its 49 degrees at Alta at the moment…) Then Sunday/Monday things change with a storm likely coming in Wednesday. More powder, powder, powder…please.
