Bliss is in the air now. Today is one of the those spring days that makes one grin from ear to ear. Fresh snow, sunshine and a blue sky–what’s not to like? The beautiful weather will continue on into the weekend. The snow is deep and most runs are wide open–the mountain presents more surface area to ski than any other time this season. Spring break time brings more families to ski at Alta, sharing the joy of skiing together. Picnic lunches, mountain dining or lunch in the dining room are all options this time of year, as well as an afternoon nap if you really want to relax on your ski vacation. Something to consider if you are not able to make it in March, Alta in April is a fantastic time to ski as well. There will be a “free” demo day all day on April 12. Just sign up and reps from the ski companies at the base of Collins Lift will outfit you with skis for a few runs and then you can try another pair, and another and so on.
