The skiing over the weekend was on smooth, wind blown pockets of silky snow on slopes perfectly positioned to collect the snow. The sun was out most of each day, making great conditions with beautiful mountain views. Today is a different story with heavy snow falling since the first of the morning, bringing the season’s total snowfall to 160 inches. The storm will continue throughout the day and evening, just in time to bring lots of fresh powder for skiing on Christmas day.
Alta Lodge elves have been busy getting ready for Santa Claus. Following a “good night’s sleep”, excited boys and girls will be greeted by Santa on Christmas morning in the Lobby. The excitement won’t end there as the rest of the day will bring partially sunny skies and powder skiing.
