It’s said we almost always get snow in September at Alta and with less than a week left this month, we were eager for the first storm. Late yesterday and this morning rain was forecasted with possible snow in higher elevations. Mother Nature came through with fresh snow this morning at the top of the mountain–Sugarloaf and Greely–as observed from photos on Alta’s mountain cameras.
How does that translate to us skiers? It’s a reminder to get with it on ski conditioning, get your bindings checked, tune/wax your skis, find your car’s snow scraper and then start counting the days…it’s sooner than you think and being prepared will make that first day so much sweeter!
